CITY OF UNION POINT 2020 SPRING CLEAN UP WEEK MAY 18TH THROUGH MAY 25th
The City of Union Point will be holding its annual clean-up week May 18th through May 25th. All items must be beside the road of the residence by the morning of May 26TH for pick-up that week. The City workers will not pick up items that have been placed beside the road after 7:30 a.m. on May 26th as they will only make one trip down each street. Your cooperation will be appreciated.
A large roll-off will also be located and monitored at the Public Safety Building at 4700 Lamb Avenue from May 18th through May 25th for use by Union Point Citizens if you would prefer to place items in the roll-off yourselves. This is available in addition to the pick-up service.
NOTE: There will be a separate roll off FOR TIRES ONLY at the 4700 Lamb Avenue location for residents to dispose of their tires.
The City will not pick up or dispose of the following unauthorized items if they are set out by the road:
- Building Materials (Roofing Materials/Shingles, Metal, etc.)
- Tires – INDIVIDUALS MAY PLACE IN SPECIAL ROLL-OFF ONLY
- Heavy Consumer Durables/Appliances (ie: Dish Washers, A/C or Heating Units)
- Household Garbage
- Hazardous or Industrial Waste (Oil, Batteries, Paint Cans)
AGAIN: Please do not place these items beside the road to be picked up or place in the Dumpster at the Public Safety location. The City will not pick up these items.
ITEMS AUTHORIZED TO BE PICKED UP INCLUDE: Relatively light electronic consumer durables/appliances (TVs, radios, digital media players, microwaves, coffee makers, computers, small refrigerators, etc.)
- Furniture (chairs and couches entertainment centers, mattresses and box springs, lawn furniture, large toys, etc.)
