Business, Alcohol, and Tobacco Licensing Information

All business owners operating within the City of Union Point are required to maintain a valid business license. License fees must be paid to the City of Union Point at City Hall no later than March 31, 2026, to remain in good standing.

In accordance with the Georgia Department of Revenue, alcohol and tobacco license holders must reapply annually by November 1st to ensure continued licensure. Certain licenses also require monthly returns and/or reports to be filed.

License holders are required to post their license in a conspicuous location at the place of business, and it must be available for immediate inspection at all times when the establishment is open.

Municipal Court is held on the second Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Four-Room School Building, 211 Veazey Street.

Tri-County Natural Gas Authority

Tri-County Natural Gas serves Greene, Oglethorpe, Taliaferro, and Madison Counties.

Natural gas is a clean, efficient energy source used for furnaces, water heaters, ranges, gas grills, and fireplaces.

Parks & Recreational Facilities

The Union Point Ball Park is open to the public daily until sundown.

The City also offers facilities available to rent for recreational and community needs.

Community Center
The Union Point Community Center is commonly used for family reunions, social gatherings, birthday parties, receptions, and similar events.
